Formation

A body, state or system may carry capacity, pressure, difference, potential or source. That capacity does not become expressed consequence merely by existing. It must become operative through a relation under particular conditions, enter a receiving state, produce change and leave a trace.

The body carries capacity.
Relation provides the route.
Conditions govern passage.
Passage produces change.
Change becomes consequence.
Consequence alters what can happen next.

Original Ground

Passport and Passage

The conversation began with a passport. The person, passport and border may each exist separately, but lawful passage is not contained in any one of them alone. It is produced through a structured relation in which identity is represented, recognised and acted upon.

A representation can become a cause-carrier when a system is structured to respond to it.

The passport does not create the person. The border does not contain identity. The person does not produce lawful passage merely by existing. The relation makes a capacity—recognition, permission or refusal—operative.

Core Operation

Passage Is Difference Becoming Operative

“Cause must pass” does not require a miniature object called cause to travel between bodies. It means that a relevant difference becomes operative through relation.

The difference may be force, signal, recognition, permission, restriction, pressure, absence, interruption, connection, temperature, availability or changed organisation.

A cause that never reaches, alters, contacts, attracts, repels, redirects, constrains, signals or reorganises anything produces no expressed consequence within the system being examined.
Receiver Participation

Relation Alone Is Not Enough

The existence of a relation does not guarantee consequence. Passage may be blocked, mistimed, too weak, incompatible, insulated, unrecognised or below threshold. The receiver’s prior state also participates in the result.

P + S₁ → Q₁ | P + S₂ → Q₂

The same passage may produce different consequences in differently organised receivers. A relation is therefore a route of possible operation, not a guarantee of one fixed effect.

Failure and Omission

Blocked Passage Can Also Become Consequential

Some consequences arise because an expected passage is interrupted: oxygen does not arrive, a warning is not delivered, care is withheld, a signal fails or a barrier prevents movement.

Required passage + interruption + dependent receiver → change.

Nothing does not act as a mysterious substance. The altered relation changes the conditions under which the receiver continues.

Theory Laws

Ten Laws of Cause Must Pass

  1. Capacity is not yet consequence. Possessing the capacity to cause change does not mean change has occurred.
  2. Relation provides the route. Capacity becomes operative through a relation capable of carrying, blocking or transforming it.
  3. Conditions govern passage. The same capacity may pass, fail, weaken, strengthen or redirect under different conditions.
  4. The receiver participates. Consequence depends upon what arrives and the prior state of what receives it.
  5. Passage can transform what passes. A route may translate, filter, amplify, distort or reorganise.
  6. Blockage is causally relevant. Failed passage can alter a system that depends upon it.
  7. Consequence becomes condition. Every expressed change enters the field from which later causes operate.
  8. Cause leaves trace. Consequence requires a difference between prior and resulting state, even when delayed or distributed.
  9. Similar structure does not require identical mechanism. Domains may share the route without sharing one material process.
  10. Description is not event. A model records the causal route but is not identical to the route itself.
Resistance Structure

Why the Examples Surround the Claim

Passport, VPN, language, personhood, nervous-system activity, embryology, physics and quantum entanglement were not eight equal theories. They were resistance tests used to prevent the central structure from being dismissed as merely legal, digital, linguistic, psychological, spiritual or physical.

The examples do not create the formation. They expose the same structural problem from enough directions that it becomes harder to deny through disciplinary narrowing.

The comparison does not claim identical mechanisms. It tests whether describing isolated parts is sufficient when the consequence depends upon what occurs between them.

Working Instrument

The Cause-Passage Test

BodyWhat entities, states or conditions are present?
CapacityWhat difference can each potentially carry or produce?
RelationHow can they contact, recognise, constrain or affect one another?
ConditionsWhat permits, shapes, blocks or redirects passage?
ReceiverWhat receives the difference, and what is its prior state?
PassageWhat actually crosses or becomes operative?
ChangeWhat becomes different?
ConsequenceWhat new state exists?
TraceWhat indicates that the change occurred?
CounterfactualWhat changes when the proposed capacity, route or receiver state is removed?
Claim Boundary

What Is and Is Not Closed

Closed: formation, formula, definitions, laws, guardrails, working test, resistance test and publication package.

Open: wider application, counterexample search, domain-specific mechanisms and empirical testing of any claim that extends beyond the declared framework.

This body does not claim that everything is only interaction, that entities do not exist, that quantum entanglement proves consciousness, that every domain shares one mechanism, or that an incomplete physical account automatically proves a metaphysical one.

Complete theory body does not mean universal empirical validity has been claimed.
